It's may be time to say goodbye to the iTunes as Apple has silently wiped out the official Facebook and Instagram pages for iTunes. It is asking the users to follow the Apple TV accounts.

The iTunes Facebook account has been moved to the Apple TV's account. On Instagram Apple is instucting the users to follow @AppleTV. Apple is even redirecting the URL itunes.apple.com to the Apple Music's homepage.

It was reported that Apple is planning to split iTunes into three different apps for Mac - Music, TV and Podcast. A report from Bloomberg also backs the news.

Last month 9to5Mac claimed that the new Music Application from Apple will be based on the iTunes source code. The new app will also have some of the same features from iTunes.

According to Bloomberg Apple is moving towards hardware independence by bragging about the iPad Pro's software in order to make a better replacement for PC and making of the Apple Watch less dependent on the iPhone.

The iconic multimedia app, iTunes was announced in way back in 2001, which changed the music industry forever. With the launch of the iTunes Store in 2003, purchasing music legally became simple and hassle free.
