OnePlus 6T launch confirmed

OnePlus has confirmed the launch of OnePlus 6T. The device will be unveiled at a OnePlus event in New York on 30th October, 2018. OnePlus will also be live streaming the event on it's youtube channel.

OnePlus confirmed that the device will be having an Optical fingerprint scanner under it's Optic Amoled Screen. The in-display scanners are still a new thing and works well if implemented correctly. The company will be using an Optical fingerprint scanner which are currently more affordable as compared to the ultrasonic scanners. The company is using the optical scanner as it will cut the cost and will help it to reduce the overall price of the product and will allow it to bring the device at a slightly affordable price for you. Though the optical fingerprint scanner saves cost, it is a little slower and lacks the same level of accuracy as compared to a normal fingerprint scanner or the ultrasonic one. Still you will not feel any difficulty while unlocking your OnePlus 6T.

Oneplus is a part of BBK corporation which also markets Vivo and Oppo smartphones, so it may be possible that the fingerprint scanner can be somewhat similar to what we saw in the Vivo Nex S. The fingerprint scanner was a little slow on that device so we hope that OnePlus 6T will be having a slightly fast in-display fingerprint scanner as the company is teasing "Unlock The Speed".

Besides of the in-display fingerprint scanner the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, Octa Core processor and will be having the OxygenOS. OnePlus 6T will also be having a slightly larger battery of 3700mAh but will be lacking our beloved headphone jack.
